The Free-Kick Boot

Launched for Euro 2000, the Precision changed the fins. Instead of large blocks, the rubber elements were separated into thin lines spread across the toe box. Interchangeable studs let players adapt to any surface, and a Velcro strap held the fold-over tongue in place. The three stripes were redrawn — wavier, slimmer, streamlined towards the heel.

And then there was October 2001. Old Trafford, stoppage time, England needing a goal against Greece to qualify for the World Cup. David Beckham, wearing the Precision, bent the free kick in.

No boot has a better single moment attached to it.
