Who we are
adidaspredator.com is an independent fan site about the adidas Predator football boot. It is not affiliated with adidas. Contact: hello@adidaspredator.com.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name or email address through this site.
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Analytics, only if you accept. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. It is off until you agree to it. See Cookies below.
- Affiliate links. Some links to retailers may be affiliate links. If you click one, the retailer or affiliate network may set cookies to record that you came from this site. Their own privacy policies apply.
Cookies and analytics
We only use analytics cookies if you agree, and nothing is loaded from Google unless you do. If you're in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, a consent message from Google asks you to choose; "Consent" and "Do not consent" are equally easy to pick. Everywhere else, a banner of our own asks the same question, with the same choice either way.
What we use if you accept
- Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. It sets cookies named
_gaand_ga_4MFPSP10X0, which last for up to two years, to tell visits apart. It records things like the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search engine), your approximate location (country or city), and your device and browser type. Google says it does not log or store IP addresses for Analytics 4. - Retailer and affiliate link clicks. If you click a link to a retailer, we record an
affiliate_clickevent in Google Analytics with the page you were on and the address of the link, so we know which pages are useful to shoppers.
We use Google Analytics only to understand how the site is used. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not combine it with other data to identify you. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
How we remember your choice
If you see Google's consent message, your choice is recorded by Google's own consent tool. Everywhere else, a choice (for example, a previous visit before this message existed) is saved in your browser's local storage (under ap-consent-v1), not in a cookie. It is never sent to us.
How to opt out or change your mind
- Choose “Do not consent” or “Reject”, whichever banner you see, or use Cookie settings (also in the footer of every page) to reopen it at any time. If you had consented before, changing your mind turns analytics off and deletes the Google Analytics cookies from this site.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every website.
If you don't consent, or never see a choice to make, the site works exactly the same and nothing is sent to Google Analytics.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To make a request, contact us using the details above.
Changes
We will update this page when anything changes, and change the date at the top.
