Beckham's Greece Anniversary Predators: The Precision Remade and Predator 26
Twenty-five years to the day after Old Trafford, adidas brings back the boot Beckham wore against Greece, alongside a new signature Predator 26.
On 6 October 2001, three minutes into stoppage time at Old Trafford, David Beckham curled a free kick past Greece’s goalkeeper and sent England to the 2002 World Cup. On 6 October 2026, exactly 25 years later, adidas released two Predators to mark it.

The first is a remake of the Predator Precision he wore that afternoon: a white boot with a red fold-over tongue. The second is a new signature edition of the Predator 26 in white and red. Beckham teased both on Instagram in the days before launch.
This is the third year in a row that adidas has given Beckham a signature Predator, and the first time it has paired one with a remake of a specific boot from his career.
The Precision, Remade
The headline boot is the one most fans will recognise on sight. The original Precision Beckham wore against Greece was white with a red tongue, and that is the look adidas has brought back, in what launch coverage calls a “Vivid Red”.
It is a remake in spirit rather than a replica. According to Complex and House of Heat, it is built on the current Predator Elite fold-over tongue platform, with a leather forefoot and a modern soleplate rather than the original’s. Mini Trefoils run through the Three Stripes.
Leaked images before the launch showed “90+3” on the tongue, Beckham’s No. 7 on the heel and the match details printed on the insole. We haven’t confirmed all of those details on the finished boot, so treat them as reported rather than certain.
If the boot looks familiar, there’s a reason. adidas has remade Beckham’s Greece Precision before, for the 25 Years of Predator pack in 2019. That version stayed closer to the original, with a kangaroo leather upper and a DB mark on the heel.
A Third Signature Predator 26
The second boot is new. The Beckham edition of the Predator 26 Elite comes in white with “Lucid Red” details, in the fold-over tongue version only. Leak and launch coverage describe Beckham’s free-kick silhouette on the heel and “BECKHAM” lettering across the elastic tongue strap.
It also carries the adidas Trefoil instead of the usual Performance logo. That makes it only the second Predator to wear the Trefoil. The first was Beckham’s Predator 24 edition in 2024.
The white and red has a double meaning: England’s colours, and a nod to the white and red Predator X Beckham wore in 2009.
Why Greece Still Matters
The goal is the reason both boots exist. England were 2-1 down to Greece in their final qualifier, with Germany drawing elsewhere, when Teddy Sheringham won a free kick more than 30 yards out deep into stoppage time. It is also the moment most closely tied to the Precision. adidas football’s general manager, Sam Handy, described it at launch as showing the precision, confidence and control that define both Beckham and the Predator.
Where the 2026 Boots Fit
Beckham has had more special Predators than any other player, from the 2004 Pulse with his free-kick logo to the Inter Miami pink Predator 25 of 2025. Our guide to Predator signature editions covers them all in order.
These two arrived on adidas.com and at selected retailers on 6 October. Prices vary by market, and launch coverage gives US$280 for the Precision remake in the US. No production run has been published, so we don’t yet know how limited either boot is.
