Guide
Which Predator Should You Buy?
Choose in this order: surface, tier, closure.
The Predator 26 range is big: four tiers, three closures and several soleplates. Most people start with the tier. Start with where you play instead.
1. Surface
Buy the outsole for the pitch you actually play on: FG for natural grass, AG for artificial grass, TF for turf and hard artificial surfaces, and indoor versions for sports halls. An Elite FG on the wrong surface is a worse boot for you than a League made for it.
2. Tier
Elite — the full spec: the thinnest upper, the complete NANOSTRIKE+ and POWERSPINE package, and the choice of laced, laceless or fold-over tongue. For players who play competitively several times a week. Around £220–£230 at launch.
Pro — the best buy for most players. It keeps the Elite’s shape and Predator character, with a slightly more substantial upper and some simplification to the grip and soleplate. Closer to the Elite than the price gap suggests.
League — simpler materials and a more forgiving fit. Good for recreational players and those still developing.
Club — the entry level, built for durability. Best for casual football, school and fast-growing feet.
The full breakdown is in our Elite vs Pro vs League comparison.
3. Closure
Fold-over tongue for the classic Predator look and feel. Laced for maximum lockdown and adjustability. Laceless for a clean, sock-like fit if you get the length right. The fold-over tongue now runs down the range, so you don’t need an Elite to get it.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best Predator for most players?
The Predator 26 Pro.
Is the Predator Elite worth it?
If you play competitive football several times a week and want the thinnest upper and full technology, yes. Otherwise the Pro gives you most of it for less.
Which Predator is best for kids?
League or Club, in the right outsole for their pitch. Growing feet make the top tiers poor value.
