Predator vs F50: The 'It's Time to Choose' Film (2026)
Beckham, Zidane and Pogba run a Predator syndicate in adidas's 2026 film, and adidas asks you to pick a side.

In January 2026, adidas pitted two of its own boot families against each other. The Predator vs F50 campaign asked players to choose a side. The F50, with Lamine Yamal, stood for chaos. The Predator, with Jude Bellingham, stood for control.
Then, around 23 January, came the film that gave the Predator side its attitude. “It’s time to choose” brings back Predator legends from several eras, playing a very different kind of team.
The Premise
Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham, Paul Pogba, Kaká, Xavi and Alessandro Del Piero play members of an underground international syndicate, in competition with an unseen rival, presumably Team F50. Goal’s report describes Zidane as the boss and Pogba reporting that everything is in place. Kaká, Xavi and Beckham are out on the ground in cities including Madrid, Liverpool, Barcelona and Milan.
The film borrows from heist and crime movies, with Pogba using a payphone to warn the others that the other side is moving fast. Beckham, among piles of new Predators, says they will need far more stock. Del Piero, who wore both Predators and F50s in his career and is nicknamed “the Zebra” in the film, is not sure. Zidane gives the order to ship more, and the moment to choose approaches.
Why the Casting Matters
The cast is a roll call of Predator names, and several of them, including Beckham, Zidane, Del Piero and Pogba, starred in earlier adidas Predator adverts. See our pages on David Beckham and Xavi for their Predator stories.
Control Versus Speed
adidas football’s general manager Sam Handy described the two boots as representing opposing forces in the modern game, raw speed and ultimate control, and challenged players from grassroots to the professional game to choose their side.
The boot at the centre was the Predator 26, in a white colourway with a red forefoot, the fold-over tongue and stripes drawing on the Predator Precision, according to Goal. If you’re deciding between this and last year’s boot, see our Predator 26 vs 25 comparison.
The campaign was expected to run across spring and summer 2026, and Goal expected it to carry on towards the World Cup. Goal also speculated that a reply from the F50 side, with Messi among the possible names, might follow. We haven’t confirmed one.
